Welcome to our little corner of furry paradise! My name is Connie Kramer, owner and dog groomer. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and my small business!

I'm originally from the city of Lima, Peru, the gastronomic capital of Latin America. My journey brought me to Washington DC when I was just 16. Let me tell you, diving into a new culture and language was no walk in the park! It took me a few years to become proficient in English and feel confident to dive into higher education. All my hard work paid off when I scored a full academic scholarship to the University of Maryland. I graduated in 2012 with a B.S. in Information Systems from the UMD Smith School of Business—talk about a proud moment! In 2020, the universe smiled my way once more and I was granted a partial scholarship to pursue my MBA dream with Quantic School of Business and Technology. Mission accomplished in April of 2022! Before becoming a small business owner in 2013, I worked in the fields of E-discovery and IT audit.

Prior to moving to the MD Eastern Shore in 2021, I called Montgomery county, MD home. For eight wonderful years, I owned and led a preschool business while I also explored my passion for dog grooming. I owned and operated a one-on-one pet spa for about two years.

Now, let me introduce you to the furry stars of my life. It all started with my beloved dog, Sami, a Chow Chow mix I owned since I was 14 years old and I brought from Peru. She had a very rough time at bustling grooming shops. It broke my heart having to leave her for 4-6 hours each time and seeing her be put in a cage because she hated it. That's when I decided to become her personal groomer. After Sami's wonderful journey ended at age 17, we welcomed two rescued Chow Chow boys into our family, Astro and Cosmo. That's when I decided to formalize my grooming knowledge. I earned my Professional Dog Grooming certificate from Montgomery College in early 2020. Then, our family grew again in 2021 with the addition of our rescued Chow Chow puppy, Stella. All my fur babies have definitely shaped the person that I am today. They haven't only inspired me to become a dog groomer but also to become a dog rescue advocate and volunteer.

Fast forward to 2022, when I proudly founded Eastern Shore Dog Care LLC. It's been one heck of an adventure! What lights up my world? Building trust and meaningful relationships with my furry clients and their awesome parents. I'm dedicated to going the extra mile, customizing services to meet each dog's unique needs. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and helping parents with tips for maintenance at home between full grooms. I'm also always excited to continue to enhance my skills and pursue yearly trainings and certifications. I love transforming my furry clients into their most beautiful selves while always prioritizing their emotional well-being. At Eastern Shore Dog Care LLC, comfort always takes precedence over vanity.
