Hi, I’m Connie Kramer, owner and dog groomer. In 2021, I moved to Caroline County with my husband, son, and our three rescued dogs to start this exciting chapter of my life. Thank you for taking the time to learn about me and my small business!

Originally from Lima, Peru, I came to Washington, D.C., at 16 not speaking a word in English! Through hard work and determination, I earned a full-tuition academic scholarship to the University of Maryland. I graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor's from the UMD Robert H. Smith School of Business. In 2020, I scored a half-tuition scholarship and I completed my MBA in 2022. Before becoming a small business owner in 2013, I worked in the fields of E-discovery and IT audit.

My journey into dog grooming began with my beloved Chow Chow mix, Sami. Watching her struggle in traditional grooming environments broke my heart. I was determined to make her feel safe and calm during her grooming sessions so I became her personal groomer, transforming what was once a stressful experience into a nurturing one. This passion only deepened as our family grew with the adoption of our 3 rescue dogs Astro, Cosmo, and Stella—each inspiring me in their own way. In early 2020, I earned my Professional Dog Grooming certificate from Montgomery College. Soon after, I opened my first pet spa in Montgomery County but had to close it down when I moved to the Eastern Shore. 

 

In June 2022, I founded Eastern Shore Dog Care LLC. My mission is to provide highly personalized, stress-free grooming services that prioritizes your dog’s physical and emotional well-being. I love building trust with my furry clients and their awesome parents, offering tips for at-home care, and continually improving my skills through ongoing training.
